This 13-Day Uganda safari special starts in Entebbe when you land. After an overnight in the quiet town, you drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park is crossed by the Nile and it is the river that lends it one of the most spectacular nature boat launches to the bottom of the powerful falls. On the cruise to the bottom of the world's most powerful falls, you see animals on the savannah and on the Nile. You also explore the grasslands in search for lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, fantastic bird-life and a lot more. From Murchison Falls, you continue to Kibale Forest National Park across woodland and forested landscape. Kibale forest harbours the greatest variety and concentration of primates found anywhere in East Africa. Not less than 13 different species are living in this small area of 560sq km, including Black-and-White Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys. More important, the dense forest hosts a population of more than 1,000 chimpanzees, allowing visitors the unique opportunity to view these great apes in their natural environment. You will then continue to Queen Elizabeth N.P – the second largest national park in Uganda where you go on another boat trip along the Kazinga channel - a natural channel that connects Lakes George and Edward teaming with wild animals.
From here you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – the home of the famed Mountain Gorillas for your date with the ‘so-called gentle giants’ and return to your lodge to relax. You take in the landscape, sights and sounds. The next day you go on a trek to see the rare Golden Monkeys and then transfer to picturesque Lake Bunyonyi for overnight. Your safari finishes in Lake Mburo National Park where you view game on foot during a bush walk.
