3 Days / 2 Nights Maun - Okavango Delta - Maun

Your adventure begins with collection from Maun International Airport before travelling by road to the magnificent Okavango Delta. After meeting your local polers and safari guide, board a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) and glide quietly through winding channels surrounded by papyrus reeds and water lilies. This peaceful journey offers an entirely different perspective of the Delta, where every turn reveals colourful birdlife, frogs, dragonflies and the occasional sighting of elephants, red lechwe or hippos in the distance. Arrive at your exclusive campsite, where your safari team will set up camp for the night, in dome tents made up with bed rolls, bed linen, a pillow per person, as well as en-suite bathrooms with shower buckets and long drop toilets. Canvas wash basins are provided outside each tent. Following lunch and time to relax, enjoy a guided nature walk on one of the Delta's islands, where your guide introduces you to animal tracks, medicinal plants and the fascinating ecology of this unique wetland ecosystem. As the sun sets, gather around the campfire for a freshly prepared dinner while listening to the sounds of the African wilderness before retiring for the night beneath one of the world's clearest night skies.
