This route begins on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro, starting with a scenic drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. The first two days involve trekking through lush rainforest to reach Shira Ridge. The trail then crosses the expansive Shira Plateau from west to east, providing a gentle and scenic hike. Until it converges with the Machame route near Lava Tower, the Lemosho route remains relatively quiet. Afterward, climbers follow the Southern Circuit beneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field, leading to the summit via Barafu. The descent is completed on the Mweka route.
