Our recommendation on Camera for this Serengeti Photography tour;
My name is Sebastian, I'm a professional photographer, am afraid I can't be better than you. I use Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and I enjoy it. A camera is nothing without Lens, i use to rent a 150-300mm lens which is very limited in my experience, sometimes i miss some shoots from far.
I highly recommend a lens of at least 100-400mm, to 600mm if you can afford it. You also better have more than one Camera, and different lenses like Fixed ones, Zoom lenses, Short ie. 40-100mm wide. AM willing to share a lot of tips about photographing on safari, which i will share with you right after your inquiry.
In this Serengeti photograph tour, we will use a very special photographic safari vehicle with maximum space for 3-4 photographers so for the group of more than 4 photographers, we suggest to add one more safari vehicle which will occur an extra cost.
We are aware that some companies offer lower prices than Katikati Tours and Safaris. The nature of safaris can be quite adventurous and Katikati Safaris' number one priority at all times is your safety. This requires significant financial investment, including our staff and fleet of vehicles. Katikati Tours and Safaris is a local Tour Operator. If you find a safari that is priced significantly lower than others, something (or someone!) is undoubtedly being compromised.
In addition, Katikati Safaris only offers private safari tours. Whilst it is a slightly more expensive option, there are many benefits. In consultation with your guide, you can have more control over your safari e.g. daily departure times, the focus of your game drive etc. You will also have more space in the safari vehicle and better viewing opportunities. with your driver guide, you will explore the parks as you own a part of it.
