You'll be picked up in Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive in the park. In the afternoon, your driver will set and prepare the table for a full hot meal lunch, soup bread rolls, main dish and fruit salad followed by a glass of wine, tea and coffee. After lunch, continue with a game drive. In the evening, drive back to Arusha for a drop-off at the airport. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.
