0800 Hours: Depart after breakfast at your hotel in Arusha for Tarangire National Park. The driving time is approximately 2 Hours (Distance: 120 kilometers). 1100 Hours: Upon arrival at the park we proceed for a mid-morning game viewing safari in the park. Tarangire River and the swamps in the park act as a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. The park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. 1300 Hours: Lunch will be served at the Lodge/ camp followed by some rest time. 1500 Hours: Enjoy another game drive in the park. Look for Tree-climbing Pythons, Elephants in large herds of close to 600, Wildebeests, Zebras, Elands, Hartebeests, Buffaloes, Oryx, etc. The park is home to 550 bird species.
