You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or the airport and start your journey south towards Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch. After a short rest, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset. Amboseli National Park sits at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,400 meters, with breathtaking views beneath the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is home to large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, giraffes, lions, and many other species of wildlife, all drawn to the permanent water sources filtered through volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s melting snow. Additionally, the park is inhabited by the Masai people—tall, brave, and proud nomads who live in close harmony with both the environment and wildlife. Their legendary warrior culture, known for feats of bravery in battle and against wild animals, has gained international fame. A visit offers an opportunity to experience their vibrant singing, dancing, and sacred rituals, as well as a glimpse into their homes and social structure.
