Your guide will pick you up either from the airport or accommodation in Windhoek. You will drive to the Namib Desert past some scenic areas that may include mountain passes and private game farms. Upon arrival and checking in, you will embark on a late afternoon desert sundowner game drive around the private game reserve. Typical desert-adapted wildlife that can be spotted includes the oryx, springbok, black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox and Cape fox among others. The special endemic birds include the dune lark, Ruppell's korhaan, and Ludwig's bustard among others. After enjoying the sundowner drinks at a lovely spot as an introduction to the Namib Desert, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner.
