Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar, followed by a scenic domestic flight to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by a professional safari guide and set off immediately on a thrilling game drive in an open safari vehicle.
Mikumi, part of the greater Selous ecosystem, is renowned for its wide-open savannahs and rich wildlife. During your safari, you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species, as well as abundant birdlife. The park’s landscape offers excellent visibility, making wildlife viewing especially rewarding.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park or at a designated lodge/rest area, surrounded by nature. After lunch, continue with a second game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting more wildlife and capturing incredible photographs.
In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred back to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar, arriving in the early evening with lasting memories of your safari adventure.
