Etosha is translated as the place of mirages, the land of dry water, or the general white place. The park consisted of grassland,woodland, and savannah. Game viewing centers around the numerous springs and waterholes where several different species of animals can often be seen at a time.
The park boasts some 114 species of mammals and over 340 bird species. Wildlife that one might see includes Elephants,Lions,Giraffer, Blue Wildebest, Eland.Hyena, Kudu, Oryx, Rhino Cheetah, Leopard. Warthog as well as the Black Face Impala.
