Morning Departure: Your journey begins early with a pick-up from your accommodation (usually in Arusha or Moshi) and a drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park Highlights: Known for its large elephant herds and stunning baobab trees. The park is a haven for wildlife, including zebras, wildebeest, lions, giraffes, and numerous bird species, especially during the dry season when animals flock to the Tarangire River for water. A game drive will take you through different sections of the park, allowing for close encounters with various animals. Lunch: Picnic lunch in the park or at a designated area. Afternoon Game Drive: Continue exploring Tarangire’s diverse ecosystems, from swamps to forests. Evening: After the game drive, you'll leave Tarangire and head toward your lodge or campsite for an overnight stay in the area. Some lodges are situated in the nearby Karatu area or near Ngorongoro Crater for convenience.
