This unforgettable 6 Day Umbwe route to summit Kilimanjaro has a well-deserved reputation for being the most challenging route on Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing routes. Approaching from the south of kilimanjaro, the Umbwe route is a short, steep, and direct climb. After reaching Barranco Camp, the trail follows the southern circuit to summit Kilimanjaro. The last day of descending is done via the Mweka route. The Major reason that the 5 Day Umbwe route is considered to be very difficult is its steepness in the first two days and its short time of acclimatization.
