The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most scenic and well-balanced route on Mount Kilimanjaro. This 8-day itinerary offers excellent acclimatization time and high summit success rates, making it a top choice for trekkers seeking a challenging yet rewarding experience. Beginning on the western side of the mountain, the route passes through lush rainforest, heath, moorland, and the alpine desert before joining the Machame route near Lava Tower and ascending toward the summit via Stella Point.
The extra days on the mountain allow for a gradual climb, increasing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) while enjoying incredible views and varied landscapes. This route also offers a more remote and less crowded experience in the early days of the trek.
