Today, we begin our journey early, heading to the breathtaking Tarangire National Park—famously known as the "Elephant Playground." During your game drive, you’ll explore the park’s diverse landscapes and incredible wildlife. In the dry season, Tarangire rivals even the Serengeti for animal density, especially its impressive elephant herds, sometimes numbering up to 300. Beyond elephants, Tarangire is home to lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles, as well as unique species like the fringe-eared oryx and graceful gerenuk. The lush, marshy edges of Lake Burungi attract a variety of wildlife, while bird enthusiasts can look out for giant kingfishers, hoopoes, and the whimsically named white-bellied go-away bird. The park’s iconic baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and acacia-dotted woodlands create a stunning backdrop for your safari adventure.
