A most popular route in climbing Kilimanjaro.it is also known as the "whiskey route".Machame route draw's its scenic beauty,however the trail is considered difficult ,steep,and challenging,particulary due to uts short itinerary.the route suits more adventurous folks or trekkers with high high-altitude hiking or backpackingexperience.This routes starts with a short drive Moshi to Machame gate.The route leads hikers through the rain forest to the shira plateau.here, many of kilimanjaro routes converge.and there after the routes turns east and traverses' underneath Kilimanjaro's southern ice field on a path known as the southern circuit before summiting to huru peak via Barafu .And on decending will be done via Mweka route
