Located just 2 to 3 hours from Nairobi, this sanctuary offers a wonderful opportunity to observe wildlife up close. Once a peninsula and now a true island, visitors can safely walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and other gentle animals in a predator-free environment. Guided by professional armed rangers, the walk includes close wildlife encounters and stunning views of Lake Naivasha and the Rift Valley.

Important information

Travel Documents: Please carry a valid passport, visa (if required), and a copy of your travel insurance.

Health & Safety: We recommend bringing personal medication, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle. Yellow fever vaccination proof may be requested at entry points.

Clothing: Pack lightweight clothes for the day, warm layers for evenings and mornings, and comfortable walking shoes. Neutral-colored clothing is best for game drives. A hat and sunglasses are highly recommended.

Luggage: Soft-sided bags are preferred for safari vehicles and domestic flights (limit usually 15–20kg including hand luggage).

Photography: Don’t forget extra batteries and memory cards. A pair of binoculars enhances wildlife viewing.

Cash & Payments: Credit cards are accepted in most lodges, but it’s useful to carry small USD bills or Tanzanian Shillings for tips and local purchases.

Self-Drive Safaris (if applicable): Ensure your vehicle is fully equipped with spare tires, jack, first-aid kit, camping gear (if camping), GPS/maps, and enough drinking water and snacks. Fuel stations can be far apart, so always keep your tank topped up.

Respect Nature: Do not litter, feed animals, or step out of the vehicle during game drives unless instructed by your guide.

Connectivity: Wi-Fi and mobile network coverage may be limited in parks. Inform family and friends beforehand.
