1. Phone, Internet, GPS working?
The telecommunications infrastructure is being improved. The mobile network covers all or almost all the parts of Madagascar, especially when it comes to large cities. 2. Electricity?
Madagascar has a 220V electrical network in all cities with French type plugs. Power outages are to be expected. That's why a small flashlight should always be ready. In country hotels, an electricity generator is often used. In many hotels outside the big cities you have to hand in devices at the reception desk to be recharged
3. Should we be equipped with a lamp?
"In the countryside, power cuts are to be expected during the rainy season. A small flashlight or headlamp is always useful in such cases. Flashlights are also necessary for night walks. A brighter lamp makes it easier to find the animal.
4. Do I need a Visa to go to Madagascar
"Yes, a visa is required to travel to Madagascar. This visa can be obtained upon arrival at the airport in Madagascar or before your trip. As an indication, there are several types of tourist visas :
• Stay of less than or equal to 30 days: between 27 and 35 euros.
• Stay of 31 to 60 days: between 33 and 40 euros.
• Stay of 61 to 90 days: between 46 and 50 euros.
• Long-stay visa: from 49 euros.
Before departure, remember to check the validity date of your passport: it must be valid for at least 6 months after your return.
Another detail, the authorities may ask you to provide proof of a return or onward ticket when you enter the country.

7. Money – Credit card – Banks?

Credit Card: "You can withdraw money from ATMs with Visa and Master cards. There are ATMs, but only in the big cities. In some hotels you can also pay by credit card.
