Accommodations close to Mgahinga National Park

Four of us are planning a trip to Uganda in August/September 2026. I am interested in Mgahinga because the gorilla viewing is more wide open, the trekking easier (though I am aware of the altitude), and the golden monkey trekking is a great addition. But I am struggling a bit to find accommodation near to the park entrance. Mount Gahinga Lodge is too expensive. Mutanda Lake looks nice but I have seen estimates of up to 1.5 hours drive each way to the park. That would be three hours a day driving. Lake Chahafi is a bit closer - Google says 55 minutes. Lake Muhele is around that distance I think. I came across Imbogo Safari Lodge but there's very few reviews. We are interested in mid range to even nicer, but not the cost of Mount Gahinga. I suppose something in Kisoro is an option too, but harder to find something with a nice setting. i would welcome any opinions or suggestions on the best place to stay - balancing quality and comfort with ease of access to Mgahinga.
